More horse-assisted learning programs for kids and families are coming to our Cottonwood ranch.

We’re expanding our programs to help more people find emotional healing and build resilience through working with horses. Our upcoming sessions will feature ground-based horsemanship and new group workshops focused on mental health and personal growth. We’re excited to offer these new ways to heal and grow in the supportive environment of our ranch.

A Place for Your Journey

Our programs are built for both kids and adults dealing with things like anxiety, depression, behavioral struggles, or addiction. We also work closely with at-risk youth, people in recovery, and seniors in assisted living. By focusing on the relationship between person and horse, we give participants a healthy way to manage stress. Working with our horses helps build the confidence and self-esteem needed to handle whatever life throws at them.
How Equine-Assisted Learning Works

How Equine-Assisted Learning Works

Expert Care in a Year-Round Setting

We operate out of Nightstar Ranch, which features a covered arena so we can hold sessions all year long, regardless of the weather. Our programs follow the EAGALA model and Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning (EATL) principles, led by Certified Equine Specialists. These are ground-based activities where horse behavior helps reflect our own human relationships and patterns. Through these sessions, participants learn to break down emotional barriers, solve problems more effectively, and build real resilience in a safe, professional environment.

Healing Happens Here

Seeing how horses change lives is at the core of everything we do.

At DLB Ranch, we believe everyone has the strength to move forward, even when life feels heavy. We’ve seen firsthand how horses help us understand ourselves better. In our programs, these animals act as partners in your journey, helping you build the resilience and emotional clarity needed to heal.

We work out of the covered arena at Nightstar Ranch so your progress doesn't have to stop just because the weather changes. We provide a steady, reliable environment for your healing journey through every season.
Building Connections on the Ground

Building Connections on the Ground

We focus on groundwork and non-verbal communication. By learning to read a horse’s behavior, you’ll find new ways to handle life’s challenges and build the confidence to face whatever comes next.
